Welcome to the gunboat fair 13th March at HAAGA-HELIA Porvoo Campus

Ideas for a tourism product concerning a historic gun boat at Suomenlinna are presented at Haaga-Helia Campus 13th March 2012  from 10 am to 14 pm. The product itself is a gunboat that was used at the 18th century in battles and is at the moment being rebuilt by Ehrensvärd-seura and Viaporin telakkasäätiö. The products are all based on the 18th century history of Suomenlinna.

Since autumn 2011 the Swedish speaking tourism students from HAAGA-HELIA have been developing these product ideas in co-operation with Ehrensvärd-seura and Viaporin telakkasäätiö. These product ideas will now be shown to the public as a fair in Porvoo.

At the fair these five product ideas will be introduced by students:

• King Gustav III, drama and 18th century program on the gunboat sailing to Suomenlinna for business trips
• The gunboat product includes sailing, battles and a treasure at Suomenlinna fortress for schoolchildren
• The Russian tourists get a drama guide tour run by commander Cronstedt himself  where they learn about the 18th century Suomenlinna
• A guided tour with the son of Ehrensvärd  round the island in the gunboat. The guided tour includes information of the gunboat and the 18th century Suomenlinna This is a product suites everyone.
• Seniors meets Augustin Ehrensvärd  and sail to Suomenlinna with the gunboat. At Suomenlinna they enjoy 18th century food, music, theatre and dancing in 18th century style.
